"A business with a heart" sums up Driving Miss Daisy for me!"
"Hello I am Jenny Hall, and I own the Franchise for Hamilton West in partnership with my husband John. I am delighted to be working alongside Moira Street of the East Hamilton Driving Miss Daisy, in offering a Hamilton wide companionship driving service to our community.
Just like the movie, Driving Miss Daisy offers much more than just transport from A to B. It is a service delivered with care, compassion and a smile. It is the next best thing to being out with a family member or good friend.
I was inspired to become a Driving Miss Daisy Franchise Owner by my own experience in taking my elderly father and then my mother-in-law to appointments, shopping excursions and pleasure outings when they lost the ability to drive. I became keenly aware of just how important this was for them, how it enhanced their lives not just be making it easier for them to get things done but also by helping them to stay connected with people in the community and through the all-important companionship and stimulation that these outings gave them. I felt privileged to be able to share this time with them and listen to their stories.
The Hamilton West territory extends from Taupiri, Ngaruawahia, across to Whatawhata, to Rukuhia, across to Airport Road, Tamahere, then following the Waikato River on the west side back up to Gordonton and of course everywhere in-between! John, myself, our two grown up sons and our menageries of pets, have enjoyed living on our lifestyle block and have been Hamilton residents for many years - apart from four years spent living in the UK in the 90's. My business background over the past 10 years has been in marketing and sales, with the last five years working from home as a self-employed freelance contractor I am looking forward to applying my skills to Driving Miss Daisy - Hamilton West and getting more actively involved in the community.
