Thames Coastal Walkway

Kuranui Park, Thames, Coromandel

A 5km walk from the Thames Rugby Club along the foreshore of the Thames township through to Kuranui Bay, lined with majestic pohutakawa tree's which come into rich colourful life through November & December. Follow along the miniature tracks of the Small Gauge Railway to the historic Victoria Park with it's orginal bandstand and Boer War Memorial. Take the walk along the seawall around the reclaimed subdivision of Moanatairia to end at the Kuranui Bay Reserve with it's picnic area and free gas barbeques.
