The walk continues, with scenic views, to meet Exhibition Drive at Mackies Rest. Plase be aware that this is also available for cyclists. Those intending to walk the Hillary Trail have footpath access from public transport at Titiangi via first part of Scenic Drive, Exhibition and the Beverage Track.

The Arataki Visitor Centre is a must to check out. It is well ramped with several expansive viewing platforms taking in the breathtaking view of the Waitakere Regional Park. It has a small cafe attached with disability toilets on ground level. The doorways are wide, no-lip and open automatically. There are two mobility parks directly outside on a flat, concrete terrain.
The entrance to The Betheridge Track is located back towards the entry from the road. The concrete path runs passed the 'ice-cream van' and 'frame sculpture' and proceeds down the the path further. The track is gravel with a couple of small gradients in places. It is wheelchair accessible till you reach Mackies Rest, approximately 10 minutes into the walk. Then the track zig zags with a steeper gradient.
Great access for young children traveling in pushchairs.
