Kelly Tarltons is a very popular place to visit therefore car parks can be difficult to source. There is one designated mobility park in front of the entrance to Kelly Tarltons. Located in front of the Kelly Tarlton's Shark Bus. This car park is run by the council.
Another option is the Kelly Tarlton 'Shark Bus' transport. The bus has no ramp therefore not set-up for wheelchair access. However there is room on board to store a wheelchair. The bus leaves from the Downtown Ferry Terminal on the hour (172 Key Street) - 9.30am, 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and last one at 3.30pm.
There are wheelchairs for use from the Reception/Booking Desk.
You will find gradual ramping to get down into Kelly Tarltons. During busy peak times often the queue to get in will work its way up the ramp.
Great access throughout the building with a an indoor lift to provide access to other level. There are travelaters to visit the underwater world and accessible toilets provided.
Warning: Watch our for the moving ice cave walls and ceiling 'good idea to hang onto a rail' - the floor doesn't move but the ceiling and walls of the cave go round which can make you feel quite giddy!
The cafe offers snack food like sandwiches, muffins, meat pies and sausage rolls.
Exit - there is a lift to get back up to ground level.
